Please contact us if you would like additional assistance.
Visit Our Auction House online at www.OAHauctions.com to check location and verify date and times. You will find a listing of anticipated auction items and other details here and on AuctionZip (live auctions) or HiBid (online auctions). We strongly encourage you to collect and bring boxes, bags, padding and an appropriate vehicle for items, and don't forget a helper (always a good idea). Bring your valid state/federal identification or valid passport... and, if you have Tax Exempt Status please bring that certificate or email it 24+ hours before the auction to: info@OAHauctions.com
Arrive up to 1 hour early to preview items. Then, find the check-in table, present your valid state/federal identification and a copy of your Tax-Exempt Certificate if applicable. Get a Bid Card (this has your assigned Bidder Number on it and can be used to take notes of what you win). Take a seat when you hear the call for the start of the auction. Yes, get a Bid Card even if you aren't sure about bidding.
You may bid with the approval of the Auctioneer but only if you have an accompanying adult who is 18+ with you for the duration. OAH Auctions' Cashier or Crew will ask the adult to sign a waiver that indicates the adult is responsible for your bidding and payment at the conclusion of the auction (no exceptions).
Bring a copy of your valid Tax-Exempt Certificate to the auction. Or, ideally, please email a copy to us at least 24+ hours before the auction to: info@oahauctions.com
Raise your Bid Card high enough for the Auctioneer to acknowledge your bid, then lower it. After that, and for every increment that the bids go up, either raise your card, nod your head, or lift your hand about chin high so the Auctioneer and Ring Persons (aka Bidder Assistants) can see that you are still interested in bidding. Our Auctioneers are professionals, prepared to help if needed and without embarrassment. You may see a variety of styles among our newer and seasoned clientele... and we encourage you to take note and see what works best for you. Note: Auctions are an engaging and exciting community-like experience, please be prepared to say your number out-loud if asked by the Auctioneer or Clerk, or to answer if asked whether you're bidding, still in or out from bidding on an item too.
It's okay, Our Auction House Auctioneers and Ring Persons (aka Bidder Assistants) know how to look out and handle this fairly and professionally. If you think you got passed up, raise your hand and wave it to get our attention asap... or just place the next bid possible. Keep in mind, once the gavel falls or the Auctioneer calls the winning bid, the bidding is closed, item is won, and no more bidding will occur on that item.
We ask that NO ITEMS be removed from an OAH Auctions event until they are paid for, whether the auction is still going or ended. You may be asked to show proof of payment to exit. Our Auction House reserves the right to make exceptions.
For liability reasons, our team cannot provide moving assistance inside or outside the building - if they do, all parties assume and take mutual responsibility for any risks or damages (tips for the assistance are always appreciated if so). Please consider bringing a helper. You may find our partners from G.I. Haul at certain auctions, ready to assist with larger items which we will advertise if so.
All items must be removed within 1-hour post-auction end or will be forfeited unless otherwise arranged with OAH Auctions.
Please see the OAH Auctions Auctioneer immediately or before leaving if you have a concern with a won item. If it is after the conclusion of an auction, OAH Auctions can assume no responsibility as each paid for item is non-refundable and non-returnable. Unless otherwise noted, all items are sold "As-Is". Thanks for understanding. We only represent Sellers/Consignors for a finite period per contractual agreement.
Our Auction House accepts Cash, Debit or Credit Cards (customary U.S. based 3% fee), and checks with current date (no future date)... please contact us for more info.
